Next Steps: Our Mission

Follow Jesus

Today is the day of salvation! Don't say in your heart, "I will wait until another day." None of us are promised tomorrow. We are to seek the Lord while He may be found. If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ, we want you to know that the best decision that you could ever make is to accept Jesus as your LORD and SAVIOR! Consider this:

Romans 10: 9-10 (NIV)
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (NIV)
For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

So right now wherever you are, if you are not saved and would like to be, repeat this prayer:

Prayer of Salvation

Lord Jesus,

I believe that you came in the flesh and died on the cross for me to save me from my sins.

I believe that after three days you rose again with all power in your hands and are seated at the right hand of the Father.

I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory;

I repent of my sins and I ask that you would come into my heart to live and make me new.

I ask that you would fill me with the Holy Spirit of promise.

I thank you, Lord, for saving me

and from this day forward I choose to serve you.

In Jesus name,

Amen.

Be sure to share your good news with someone else by telling them that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!

Baptism

Water Baptism

We believe in the ordinance of baptism (immersion in water) and that it should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have repented and in their hearts have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. However, we do not believe water baptism alone is a means of salvation but is an outward demonstration that one has already had a conversion experience and has accepted Christ as his/her personal Savior. We believe that Water Baptism is necessary as instructed by Christ in St. John 3:5, “UNLESS A MAN BE BORN AGAIN OF WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT.”

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost

This is an experience subsequent to conversion. Tongue speaking is the consequence of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost along with the manifestations of the Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:2-23; Acts 10:46; 19:1-6). When one receives a baptismal Holy Ghost experience, we believe one will speak with a tongue unknown to oneself according to the sovereign will of Christ.

Next Steps: Our Mission

Servitude

An important focus of our church is the large variety of ministries we offer to minister to the needs of members. In addition to meeting needs, these ministries also provide opportunities for members to use their gifts, talents and skills in service to the Lord. The ministries are divided into departments and sub-divided into auxiliaries. All members are encouraged to become actively involved in at least one department auxiliary, which is a great way to connect with other members in a smaller setting without getting lost in the crowd.
